2 lbs chicken (parts)
2 tbsp shortening
1 can condensed tomato bisque soup
½ cup sliced onion
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ small bay leaf
½ cup green pepper strips

In a skillet, brown chicken in shortening; pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients except for green pepper. Cover; cook over low heat 30 minutes. Add green pepper; cook 15 minutes more or until tender. Stir now and then. Remove bay leaf.
Yield: Makes 4 servings
