 ½ cup red wine
 2 tbsp oil
 1 small oniongrated
 ½ cup chopped parsley
 1 ½ tsp salt
 ¼ tsp basil
  tsp pepper
 1 ½ pounds beefcut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
 2 medium green peppers
 12 small white onions
 2 medium tomatoes

Combine red wine, oil, grated onion, parsley, salt, basil and pepper in large glass bowl. Add beef, marinate overnight in the refrigerator.

Drain meat, reserving marinade. Blanch green peppers, cut into 12 pieces. Parboil small onions. Cut tomatoes into 12 wedges.

Place meat and vegetables alternately on 6 long skewers. Broil in a preheated broiler or over glowing coals for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, brushing frequently with reserved marinade.
